Based on a hymn we sang when I was growing up, this piece is a contemplation on religion, and the truth. “The Ocean Refuses No Rivers” to me means that no matter the path we follow during our lives, the larger truth is a loving embrace we will all be welcomed within, that every faith on Earth alludes to. This piece depicts an archipelago of beaded and embroidered islands, intersected by a meandering series of rivers.
